Dua Lipa recently turned heads at the premiere of the new Barbie movie with her stunning silver rhinestone-studded dress and, of course, her flawless makeup. But what really caught our eye was her Barbie-inspired French manicure, which perfectly complemented her overall look.
The dual-toned French manicure featured a hot pink base color called “Hi Barbie” from OPI Nail Lacquer, with “Alpine Snow” on the tips for a striking contrast. The celebrity manicurist behind the look, Kim Truong, said that the goal was to bring the ultimate pop of Barbie pink to Lipa’s elegant clear rhinestone dress.
Truong started by prepping Lipa’s nails, applying one coat of OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, and then adding two coats of “Hi Barbie!” nail lacquer. She then created a French tip using “Alpine Snow” and applied a second layer of white for an opaque finish. Finally, Truong sealed everything in with the OPI Top Coat.
Lipa’s manicure was the perfect accent to her slinky mermaid dress, which was custom-made by Bottega Veneta. Her overall look was completed with silver pointed-toe heels and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
